Plastic Cases - Blow Molded Cases
and Thermoformed Cases

What are these types of cases?

These are both methods of manufacturing plastic cases.

Blow molding is the process of forcing air into molten plastic within a mold, to force it to conform to the mold. Thermoforming is the process of melting sheets of plastic onto a male mold, or into a female mold, to force it to conform to the mold. Double-sheet thermoforming uses two sheets to do this, resulting in a thicker, stronger wall, and allowing hardware to be trapped between the sheets and molded into the product directly.

Each has a set of application strengths and production considerations too complex to mention here. This is where the expertise and experience of Allflex really shine - they will use these factors to determine exactly the correct combination of manufacturing method, case size and design, and custom interior treatment and composition for your plastic case solution!

No matter which plastic manufacturing method is used for the case, certain things will be true of the construction.

It will have a stock or custom exterior. It will have a custom or customizable interior, usually made of wire-cut, die-cut or dice foam. This interior serves to exactly position and protect your product or equipment. Lastly, it will be available with a common set of options, including tilt wheels, recessed wheels, casters, recessed hardware, extension / telescoping handles, tool / instrument palettes, trays, partitions, compartments, dividers, custom printing, logo screening, etc.
